Put back into rock ’n’ roll by making a real world difference: your subscription to Road Hounds Rock City directly benefits upcoming bands. Through community judgement and our A&R panel, we support bands that hit true with our community, from album recording to heading out on the road.
HOW IT WORKS
As a member you get a community vote every time you listen to a song by an unsigned artist on the media terminals in the Rising Room. If enough members vote for the same artist over a one month period that artist will be contacted by a member of the Road Hounds A&R panel to see what kind of help they may need, whether it be investment into studio time, new equipment or tour support. Your vote counts!
HOW IT WORKS
This panel communicates with the artists directly to see what development they need. The panel will also have a casting vote in any dead heat scenario relating to the community votes. In time we would like to invite the super-users of Road Hounds world to be part of this process. Hell yeah!
IN A BAND?
Road Hounds community has the ability to upvote your music. If enough people like what they hear then the RH A&R panel can direct investment from the membership subscription into YOUR MUSIC. Maybe you need studio time, new gear, marketing money or even a video made? It could all happen, IF enough people like your music. During our set up phase, Road Hounds has already funded studio time to ensure multiple recordings, paid for a tour and funded a live video and we want to make sure that a LOT MORE of this happens with you!
IN A BAND?
First you need to get yourself a PRIVATE Vimeo account. When you upload your music to Vimeo each video will be given a URL. You then need to include that link (or links) on your submission form below.
At the end of each calendar month the votes will be counted, the submissions reviewed for suitability (ie no political hate songs nor illegal stuff please – it won’t get through!). If you’re successful a member of the RH team will reach out to you and we can have a look at what you need to make the next step. Good luck!!
